This is a series of optional activities arranged by Professor Wruck and targeted at Finance 821 students. Students who are not in Finance 821, but who are members of the Finance Association, may also attend. 

In each session, a finance executive will speak on a topic relevant for those passionate about Corporate Finance for about 15 to 20 minutes, and then open it up to Q&A.

Pizza for 50 will be provided, if more than 50 attend, participants will be asked to scale back their consumption.  Participants not caring for pizza are free to brown bag.

If you are enrolled for Fin 821, you need not sign up on the Hub.  If you are not enrolled for Fin 821 and are a member of the MBA Finance Association, please register on the Hub.

Speaker Information:

Dave Evans was named executive vice president and chief financial officer of the The Scotts Company in September 2006. He has overall responsibility for the corporate financial functions, which include the corporate controller, financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax, risk management, audit, financial compliance and investor relations.

Dave previously was senior vice president, Global Service Center and Finance. He joined the Company in 1993 as finance director, Operations, and was promoted to vice president of Finance for the Consumer Lawns business in 1998. In 2000, he was named vice president of Finance, North America Sales, before being named Finance head for the North America business unit in 2003.

A certified public accountant, Dave holds a bachelor of science degree in accounting from The Ohio State University and attended the Kellogg Management Institute at Northwestern University.
