Lisa Hinson is president of Hinson Ltd Public Relations, founded in Columbus, Ohio in 1999.  Hinson Ltd provides public relations counsel to retail businesses, as well as commercial and residential developers. Selected clients include The New Albany Company, Giant Eagle and Easton Town Center.

Hinson began her career as a public relations associate at Limited Brands in 1988 while she was a student at The Ohio State University.  Hinson remained with the business for eleven years, serving as the Director of Public Relations for four years.  In that role, Hinson supported local media relations, community affairs, political fundraising and special events on behalf of the company.

Hinson currently serves on the board of several nonprofit organizations, including The James Foundation Board, The Jeanne B. McCoy Community Center for the Arts in New Albany, Experience Columbus and Columbus School for Girls.  She is also a member of the Donor Development Committee of The Columbus Foundation and Vice Chair of the Hinson Family Foundation, a supporting organization of The Columbus Foundation.

Hinson has served on the capital campaign committees for Directions for Youth and Families, The Mid-Ohio Foodbank and Columbus School for Girls. She was the 2001 Co-Chair of the United Way of Central Ohio Young Leadership Campaign and Co-Chair of the United Way Cinquefoil Fellowship Campaigns in 2005 and 2006.  

In February 2006, Hinson received the Bob Crane Sr. Young Philanthropist Award from the United Way of Central Ohio.

Previous boards include The Columbus Symphony Orchestra, New Albany Children’s Ballet Theatre and Directions for Youth and Families.
